The festival returns after cancellation
For audiences in Alicante and the surrounding area, Rocanrola remains one of the most anticipated music events of the year. Over the past few years, the festival has established itself as one of Spain’s leading rap events, and its return after the cancellation of the previous edition has only increased public interest. In 2025, the organizers had to cancel the festival due to adverse weather conditions, but the project is now returning with an updated concept and a new calendar in order to once again bring together some of the most important names in Spain’s urban music scene on one stage.
New dates and a focus on the May holiday weekend
The organizers decided to move the festival from October to an earlier period, choosing the May holiday weekend as the new slot for the event. This change is expected to make attendance more convenient both for local audiences and for visitors travelling to Alicante, while also helping the festival avoid the weather-related risks that affected the previous edition. Thousands of spectators are expected at Multiespacio Rabasa, where the three-day program will feature more than 30 hours of live music and more than 100 artists, taking Rocanrola far beyond the scope of a standard concert lineup.
The organizers have also stressed that this will be the only Rocanrola edition in 2026. At the same time, the new edition is not being presented as a formal replacement for last year’s cancelled version, although a significant part of the previous lineup has been retained. This gives the 2026 festival a special character: it is both a comeback after an unexpected interruption and a new, standalone edition designed to reinforce Rocanrola’s place among the most important urban music festivals in Spain.

A historic lineup and major exclusives
The biggest highlight of the new edition will be the performance by Hijos de la Ruina, the project formed by Natos, Waor and Recycled J, who are returning to the stage after the release of Hijos de la Ruina Vol. 4. Their Alicante show is already being described as one of the most anticipated rap performances of the year, and it is expected to be one of the defining moments of the festival. Another major exclusive is the appearance of Kase.O, who will perform at Multiespacio Rabasa on his only date in Spain this year, turning his participation into one of the most important attractions of the entire program for fans of Spanish rap.
The lineup also includes Delaossa, Fernandocosta, Nach, Hoke, Hard GZ, Al Safir, Lia Kali, Arce, Fyahbwoy, Juancho Marqués, Blake, Sho-Hai, Nikone, Bejo, Foyone, Denom, Reality, Dollar Selmouni, Morodo, Miranda, Midas Alonso, Mucho Muchacho and Nadal 015, along with many other artists representing different generations and styles within the Spanish urban scene. Special attention also goes to Ill Pekeño & Ergo Pro, for whom the festival will be one of only three exclusive dates in 2026, as well as to the special joint performance by Sharif & Rapsusklei, which adds even more weight to an already impressive bill.
Five stages and an expanded festival format
In 2026, Rocanrola will offer the public five separate stages, confirming its intention to be much more than a conventional concert event. Three of these stages will form the core of the music program, with the third one placed under a large covered structure designed for thousands of spectators and a more comfortable audience experience. Another stage will be located in the Living Park area, where the focus will be on hip-hop culture, freestyle, and emerging artists, while the fifth stage will be dedicated to techno music, adding another dimension to the festival’s artistic identity and broadening its appeal.
This multi-stage format allows Rocanrola to position itself not simply as a succession of performances, but as a full-scale, multi-layered event at the crossroads of music, urban art, and street culture. Instead of limiting the experience to headline concerts, the festival is building an environment where different strands of contemporary urban culture can coexist, interact, and offer visitors a much richer way of experiencing the weekend.

Living Park: graffiti, sports and urban culture
One of the most distinctive parts of the festival will be the Living Park area, which will operate on Friday and Saturday from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM and will bring together street art, urban sports, and hip-hop activities in a highly dynamic and engaging format. The program includes the live creation of a large 20 x 2 metre mural, produced in real time by Albert Bonet, Nacho Mawe and Dridali, as well as a free mural space where different artists will be able to showcase their own style. This part of the festival is designed to give visitors a more participatory experience and to underline the cultural side of Rocanrola beyond the music itself.
The sports block will also play an important role in the overall atmosphere of the event. The site will include a skate park with ramps for showcase performances by some of the best skaters and BMX riders from the Valencian Community, while spectators will also be able to enjoy basketball shooting contests, freestyle performances, and dunk shows in the urban sports zone. The University of Alicante will also take part by hosting the first IntercatUA Platform Rap Contest for students who want to perform live, adding yet another layer to the festival’s focus on youth culture and emerging talent.
New names, Rookies Rocanrola and freestyle battles
The organizers are placing a strong focus on emerging artists, and that commitment can be clearly seen in the Rookies Rocanrola contest. Ten promising performers were selected from more than 200 submissions, after which the audience was invited to vote for their favourites on social media. The two participants with the highest number of votes will perform on the Living Park stage, while the winner will earn a chance to join the main Rocanrola lineup in 2027. This part of the program will also feature Doble0 and Zeballos, helping to reinforce the festival’s role as a platform not only for established names, but also for artists who are still building their audience.
Battles will also be one of the major attractions of the festival. The second edition of the national Batalla de Promesas tournament returns with 40 confirmed participants competing for the BDP x Rocanrola title, while the festival will also host Red Bull battles, one of the most recognised freestyle formats on the international scene. Among the confirmed participants are Gazir, Mnak, Dani VK and Babi, which gives the freestyle program a strong competitive profile and adds even more energy to the overall festival experience.
Last tickets now on sale
Rocanrola is already used to selling out in previous years, and the new edition is moving in the same direction. According to the organizers, the festival is now very close to a complete sell-out, which reflects both the strength of the brand and the level of anticipation surrounding its return. The last festival passes are available on the official website from €67.50, while the option with a re-entry wristband costs €87.50. Discounted day tickets are also available, along with a package for those planning to attend only on Friday and Saturday.
At the same time, VIP passes and frontstage tickets are already completely sold out, showing that demand for the premium experience has been especially strong. In addition, the organizers, together with Aguas de Alicante, will provide a stand where attendees will be able to refill their bottles and cups with water free of charge and learn more about the responsible consumption of tap water, adding a practical and sustainability-focused detail to the visitor experience.
