The season will open in September
The opening of the season is scheduled for 26 September. The first concert will be dedicated to the symphonic version of Richard Wagner’s “The Ring Without Words”, arranged by Lorin Maazel.
The programme will then continue with performances by ADDA·Simfònica Alicante and Josep Vicent, as well as concerts by invited orchestras and performers. Throughout the season, works by Wagner, Berlioz, Strauss, Prokofiev, Mahler, Smetana, Shostakovich, Rachmaninov, Beethoven, Stravinsky and other composers will be performed.
The programme also includes contemporary works, including music by Fazıl Say, Albert Guinovart and Tan Dun. This choice of repertoire underlines the idea of the season – to bring together nature, life and love through different musical eras and styles.
International orchestras and renowned soloists
In the new season, major international ensembles will perform on the ADDA stage, including the Czech Philharmonic, Deutsche Radio Philharmonie, WDR Funkhausorchester, Berner Symphonieorchester and the Hungarian National Philharmonic.
The programme also includes Ton Koopman, Adam Fischer, Blake Pouliot, Elisabeth Teige, Mao Fujita, Sol Gabetta, Ivan Martín, Rosa Torres Pardo, Joseph Alessi and other artists.
Spanish music will occupy a special place in the programme. In particular, Manuel de Falla’s “Homenajes” and Óscar Esplá’s “Sueño de Eros”, performed by the Orquesta Nacional de España, will be featured.
