From 1 to 4 October 2026, Alicante offers a choice of blues and boogie-woogie, rock concerts, experimental music, theatre, classical music, contemporary art and free family events.
Friday and Saturday are particularly packed: Teatro Principal begins its October programme, Fundación Mediterráneo hosts the VIII Alicante Blues Festival, Sala Marearock has two concerts, and Las Cigarreras brings back the experimental music series Shhh.

The Utopian Stone is an audiovisual installation at Centro Cultural Las Cigarreras. The project is based on the diaries of Scottish geologist William Maclure, written during his time in Alicante in the 19th century, and brings together the history of geology, education and utopian ideas.

Sube – an exhibition about the Ruta Valenciana cultural phenomenon

Wax & Boogie – VIII Festival de Blues de Alicante
One of Friday’s main music events is the Wax & Boogie concert as part of the VIII Festival de Blues de Alicante. Ster Wax and pianist David Giorcelli perform blues, rhythm and blues and boogie-woogie, with Álvaro Taborda and Reginald Vilardell forming the rhythm section.
